Splash Cochin

Interesting, it does appear lavender to me as well. My splash's have a white base with dark blue feathers even at a very young age. This bird has a lavender looking base?? I love the color!

Good luck with your project! It does appear to be a female, but your right a little to early to tell. From my experience with the cochins the females feather in more evenly then the males.
