I have two 5 week old polish hens and a 7 week old maran. They are in the same brooder. I want to start introducing them to the rest of the flock. My polish hens a are going in with my silkies, and my maran is going in with the bigger flock. I don't have a problem introducing, my question is will the babies be all right coming back to the brooder together at night after being split up all day ? I don't want them to fight. :idunno
Thanks

I would say try it and see what happens. I split my chicks as well and it was rocky for the first 2 weeks they picked on each other and couldn't get settled to roost. Now they go to bed with no problem since it's routine and they are used to their bunk Mates. I think it depends on their personalities and how they adapt to each other after being away.

Yes, they should be fine. They will most likely be very happy to see eachother again. Might peck heads a bit, but nothing serious.
