Spotted brown eggs

...and it can go for awhile, then stop.... then start back up, or not.

I conveniently overlooked the "Some birds lay them consistently, some only once in awhile." line. My bad.

Thanks again for the info. These are our first hens and I'm still just a tad on the overcautious side.

Hi Guys,

Anyone know what this is? it's not little specks, it's a blob of white on a brown egg. white patches were rougher than the rest of the egg.
Looks like it was in a hurry to come out as it was found on the ground next to where she feeds
Should I be worried something is wrong with her and should I eat the egg?
