Sprained Leg

About 2 days ago one of my ganders sprained a leg getting out of the kiddie pool. I saw him fall, but he seemed to be okay other than that he was limping ( he walked on the injured leg though limped). I decided to wait and see how he was the next morning and he still walked on the injured leg, limped, and liked to stand on the other leg. Today, I went out to feed the flock and noticed that he was sitting down instead of jumping up and honking loudly like he usually does when I'm about to feed them. I then watched him try to clumsily hop around on 1 foot( the good one) before he stopped and stood in the middle of the enclosure on one foot and held the hurt foot up. He acts like it hurts badly and isn't trying to hide that he's hurt now.
What should I do and what is the dosage per lb for aspirin ( and what kind of aspirin). How do I give him aspirin. Any other advice welcome too.

you could try a bit of ice and is it swollen?
Thanks for the reply.
It's not swollen, and I touched the leg and it wasn't any hotter than usual ( so it's not inflammed or swollen). I'm afraid to try to put ice on it since the blood in his foot would cool, which would cool his whole body temp down.
I am going to run out to the store and get him some aspirin since I found the dosages online to help with pain.
I put him in his pool this morning so he could float and take pressure off the leg but he wanted to get out after a few minutes so I took him out of the pool and placed him on a pile of straw, which is where he is now taking a nap.
Thanks again for the suggestion.

baby asperin also works, and where did you go for the aspirin
I went to a dollar store since it was close to the house and the roads in town are messed up cause of the hurricane. I got low dose aspirin, but all the brands had it labeled as safety coated baby aspirin. Even the other strength aspirins were labeled safety coated.
