We just got our first egg!!! By the looks of it is say our Ameraucana came first! Though she didn't look as ready as others.

yeah don't know what it was but the kids think it might have been a racoon

worse part about it is that I think she was getting ready to lay her comb and waddles were more defined and redder than my other black australorp

I did a little research and it looks like 2 of my BOs aren't BOs one of them look to be a buff rock and the other looks to be a red sexlink

So I'm sitting on my couch eating breakfast this morning when I hear this polite knocking on my front door. When I open the door to see who's on my front porch, what I see is my entire flock running to hide in the weeds. I've just been ding dong ditched by my chickens!
