Well, technically, *I* don't mind them. But last October, a biblical style plague of ladybugs descended on our area. We're new and our neighbors tell us this happens every year, but this year was particularly bad. We were taping out doors and windows shut, but hundreds (and this is not an exaggeration) ended up in our house. From my seat in front of the computer, I can see about half a dozen in the corners of my windows and one walking along the edge of the computer screen. Drives my cats batty and my darling DH, who rescues spiders and won't ever kill anything, has begun squishing them on purpose. Keep in mind, they have been sharing our house since October. I still put them in our basement in hopes they will eat the aphids on my citrus trees. So I guess I should say we SHARE our yard with a menagerie. The only ones I'd prefer to stay away are the fisher cats and the bear. The rest are awesome. I have a feeling that the ladybugs won't last long once we finally get chickens.
