well, i nearly survived getting away from the swap without chicks. but last minute i asked my dh if it was ok to get 2!
he caved! i got 2 little bantam cochin chicks-1 buff and the other is black mottled-hoping they are pullets!

Looks like I missed a really good time! Ughh.. I decided to be practical that day and got lots of work done around here.
I'm so glad to see you're planning another!! I've put that one on the calendar and hope to make it, I'll know once it gets closer.. gotta figure out the whole family scheduling.

Just finished reading the rest of the posts, I think that it would be really cool if Gypsy was willing to wood burn on the words and I could paint the chickens. We'll have to discuss all this further.
That would depend upon the size of the sign, what it is made out of, how big, whether I need to buy and build or if the materials are provided, etc.. from Henry, i hope to get 2 of his boys and 3 girls from him in the next couple of weeks. we've been waiting for better weather to do it.
i've been getting some eggs from the pair i got from Chickn, so i've been holding a few aside to hatch from them. one already is under a broody hen with some other eggs. 2 more are in wait till there are a few more to set.
