Spring molting

I am getting very worried. I got two buff orpingtons about a 5 weeks ago and they have yet to lay an egg. They have been losing feathers ever since I got them. How much longer till they lay

How old are they?
Stress can cause a molt.....moving can be very stressful.

Did you add to existing birds?
Did you quarantine them?
Any pests on them?
