Jumping in late in the conversation. I have one incubator set to hatch April 13th and the 2nd one is due to hatch April 17th.
Here are the eggs I bought from a friends farm for hatch


After these chickens hatch I want to buy some heritage breed turkey eggs and try to hatch them this year.

Well...looks like the silkie eggs I won will not be coming. The person I won them from blocked me and now I have no way to get a hold of them. Those scammers!!!

Update on my eggs! (Day 7 Candle). 17 Buff Orpington out of 21.
2 Cochin Bantam out of 3.
1 Barred Rock Bantam out of 2.
The ones I pulled out were clear so maybe they were just infertile! Didn't do an eggtopsy.

Update on what I'm 'batin' for the HAL,,my first. Batch one-My Maran look good so far, candled tonight and have Def movement in 4. Threw out 4, and rest (6) look good as far as I can tell..very dark eggs and they were shipped. Marilyn and Elvis had 4 out of 5 with Def movement and very strong little kickers. That's what I had for HAL....but.....bought another Styrofoam Bator for a "hatcher",,,,but...seems I couldn't resist the auction thing and so Friday I started 16 silkys, 12 chamois spitz, 8 legbars, 4 auto sexing ee., and 11 cemanis. Oh yeah, and 4 of my duck eggs just for fun...guess I'm gonna have to get another hatcher,,lol.
