Good morning! I'm going to be cleaning out my hatcher. 0 chicks from this current set up. Time to calibrate and prepare MacGyverbator for 7 eggs from my hens that are due next Sat. That and a list a mile long of things that need to get done around here.

So, who's planting gardens while waiting for their chicks to hatch? Our April weather is going to prevent outside planting, but I'm going to start some tomato seeds and herbs inside.

Gonna catch up on some reading now.

just finished planting my vegetable garden yesterday. Got lots of lovely sprouts from the seeds from a few weeks ago in one section and 6 tomato plants were the last addition, though I cheated and bought them from my local greenhouse. At $3.29 for a 6 pack, just couldn't resist adding them in.

I've already planted some peas, broccoli raab, radishes and beets outside. I have sprouts that have come up already. Tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, celery, onions, kale, Swiss chard and lettuce inside under lights doing well.
Unfortunately they are calling for snow this weekend, low temp of 27. I'll have to cover the sprouts outside.

Tomorrow is day 7 and I get to candle my eggs!

Thanks everyone. Sorry it's been so long since I have replied. No I did not purchase them. I supposedly won them through a drawing they had but you know.... it was through a Facebook farm page. I honestly can't remember the name so I'm not worried about it but I am saving the messages so I can go back and leave a nasty gram on their page.
