"Springing in the Chicks" 2016 April Hatch-a-Long Hosted by Mike & Sally

I checked for pips 35+ times.

Now you know how new daddies used to feel in the waiting room (we had our children before husbands in the delivery room was a "thing.").

Moved 5 from the biddie cage outside to under the main coop (small growout) so they can dustbathe.

Only have 10 to move into the biddie cage.

Have to make room in the inside brooder for the broody hatch and the hatch due on the 18th.

And throw some in there today

Great news! I have some 32 day old chicks in the brooder that I'll have to move this week to make room for the ones that should be hatching this week. Seems like they're babies and next thing you know they're off to their first day at school

Ended up with 8 welsummer hatched.

Clean out hatcher. Dug out my last incubator. Set another batch of turkey eggs yesterday. So now have 100 turkey eggs in incubators.

Had one turkey hen decided she wanted to go broody.

Has been on nest for 2 days on 7 eggs.

Congratulations on the Welsummer hatch!

That's a lot of poults to be expecting!
