"Springing in the Chicks" 2016 April Hatch-a-Long Hosted by Mike & Sally

400
here are some female Cream Legbars. One is a slightly funky color there with a brown red stripe!

Ugh I figure that the hatch that was due 4/17 and I expected to be late because I had temp troubles early on is likely to not hatch any more.. I had 1 yesterday afternoon and 1 last night. No signs of anything happening to any of the other eggs and then to top it all off the heating element went in that incubator today as in kaput no more heat. I don't know what to do with this batch at this point. I really hate to tell my friend I only got 2/24 of her eggs (2 were eliminated early as clears, the rest HAD been developing)

I can't even put into words how defeated I feel right now.

I'm so sorry about your hatch.

10/24 are hatched in 24 hours under the broody and she's still on the nest. So assuming it can be spread out over more than 24 hours?

LOCKDOWN UPDATE!
Day 20: I have easter eggers and Ameracaunas(lots of internal pips and 1 external!)
Day 19: 4 Gamefowl eggs looking fantastic, 1 iffy but I left it in just in case.
Day 18: 4 Crested Creme Legbars and 6 Bielefelder eggs.

I waited until now for lockdown as I have a staggered hatch and wanted to wait till the Legbars and Bielefelders hit day 18.

Day 10: 3 Modern Game Bantams that have just been moved under a broody! I moved them with a broody to prevent them from going into "lockdown" along with the rest. I hope it won't be a problem when they hatch in half the normal incubation time!

Anxiously waiting on my hatch that should start today. Checked eggs at noon and no pips yet. I went out to till up the garden, came back after an hour and had 3 hatched! Waiting on the rest now!!
