Man, this all sounds like a real BUMmer. Sorry, I couldn't resist... I do know that a broken tail bone is EXTREMLY painful and uncomfortable so I do sympathize with you. Sorry for any pain and discomfort anyone is in this morning. I hope warm sunshine eases you pain.
Update - I am still searching for fertile chicken eggs. My kids and I had this great idea to get eggs from the grocery store, farmers market and local neighbors to hatch for a science project.... and we can't seem to find any eggs that have been exposed to a rooster. But, I am sure that when we do find some we will be overrun. Like they say, feast or famine. My 29 chicks are not of laying age yet but hopefully this will be only season I have to search for fertile eggs.
Since this will be my first time hatching eggs I did want to do a round of chicken before Ancona ducks. For the others hatching Anconas, are they really harder than chicken? Am I over thinking and over prepping this? Thanks!!!

I am still trying to get used to the "quote" feature. It never seems to quote what I wanted quoted...

I am located in Dripping Springs, TX (Southwest Austin). Thanks, I will check out Dick Hortsman for sure. I read though ALL the info on the "How Tos" and "Where Tos" and was starting with those suggestions (I am asking people that have chickens). I thought local, backyard eggs would be a good start but maybe I will just jump in with the ducks I wanted.what is your location? dick hortsman is on the list below somwhere, very good prices and from SQ stock too
