I'll be setting 41 eggs in just a couple days when I have enough eggs. I'll be heating up the bator and getting it set on the correct temp. tomorrow.
I need 9 hen ducklings so I can stop playing with the incubator. . and start raising my new puppy instead-- arriving Saturday!

Welcome! What kind of puppy?

Anyone have tips for letting hens brood eggs? Chicken Math has it's grip on me and my hen Beth has gone broody!
Not certain what you are asking. For me hen collect clutch of eggs, hen sits on eggs 3 weeks, hen hatches chicks, hen raises chicks. ta da!

You need ducks! Everyone needs duckies!:love

Yes!!! I have plans to get some within the next year or so.... :D

What I really want? A house duck. :love

But the pool in the basement might be a bit expensive.... :lau

And my dog doesn't co-habitate well with poultry. :/

I can afford to give you half a duck, but it's a happy half...

I had a house duck for years, she was perfect.

She actually didn't care for water much. Silly Muscovy.

I had four dogs most of the time, then 5 with her plus occasional fosters and they learned to like her or at least be indifferent & go play somewhere else when she was out running around. It helps when you're always supervising. House ducks are like sweet, fluffy toddlers...but cute.
