But to finish the story when I got home today from shopping I couldn't find the turkey hen. Went to the neighbors to see if she flew over the fence. They hadn't seen her. I couldn't find feathers anywhere either. All the other turkeys were here. I thought I looked everywhere. I couldn't find her. So I went to gather eggs for the night. I found her setting on a nest of chicken eggs. (the nest is in the shed and community nest) the nest of many colored eggs. She wants to set on them.
So I guess I'll let her

I do have some brown leghorns for egg color contrast. I don't hatch them. Sold them all off. These girl hid when the buyer was here...
Misc marans crosses that do pasture maintenance and lay pretty eggs...I think that is all.. Totally out of my mind. If you don't believe me just ask my adult kids. LOL
