I did the same thing on Saturday-gave away 1 full-grown and 2 two-week olds to a couple different people.


I think I'll have 3/3 naked neck chicks waiting for me when I get home! Many thanks to Sally and the hatching 101 guide. Finally gave me the willpower to leave the eggs well enough alone; seems to be working, too since one was zipping when I left for work (REALLY didn't want to go; wanted to stay and watch)

Just set 7 eggs on April 7, looking for an April 28th hatch day! So exciting!

I have set Creme Legbar, Swedish Flower, and Cornation Sussex.

Good question. It was what I would call "lukewarm" water. Room temp.

I just checked after 90 minutes and it had gone up another 20%, so I guess I'll just keep an eye on it.

Also, the shelving material I placed on the screen is porous, but not as porous as the screen itself so that may be slowing it down some as well.

Yes that might be slowing it down a little. I use this one, slightly different and is more porous.
