"Springing in the Chicks" 2016 April Hatch-a-Long Hosted by Mike & Sally

Ohh! Mine had just hit a week when I used the half gallon jug. It was full, and they dumped it right away. Apparently they thought it was something to attack. Again, if you didn't see my video yesterday, I have a duckling that attacked my drake.
Chances are, you're imagining what actually happened.

@Sally Sunshine I have five jars of water and two sponges in a tray. I can't use just jars because I don't have enough room. I tried the sponge in the crystal light thing but it didn't really help much.

I used a straw to pipe warm water to the sponge and gave every single egg a bath in the process.

If they survive me it'll be a miracle. Humidity is up to 71% though! Hygro calibrated and determined accurate.

I see humidity on the glass your good!!!

Oops! Taped it off for now, making a new one out of a juice jug when I get home. Thanks!

I have 6 Silver Spangle Spitzhauben, 5 pullet and 1 roo, this morning. These arrived in time for another storm. They were thirsty, cold and small. Now they are warm, hydrated (I love electrolytes) and small.

I have a chick. In a chick bowl. Get it! Just add water and you have chicken soup!

I do have a question thought. One of the chicks seems to have a bad leg. It doesn't look like straddle leg to me. She has to kinda hop around to move and it sicks out behind her. What do you think this is? Should I watch it or is there a treatment? It is her back right leg that sicks out. Or it could be the left leg is just too weak or sticks in?

Note - My internet is intermittent and slow today. I will respond though. Thank you so much for any advise.
awwwwww cONGRATSS!!! does it straighten?

This may be the wrong forum for this but one of my chicks seems to have a slightly swollen belly button. It's like a wart... best way I could describe it. The chick is eating and drinking just fine, has no trouble moving at all. Is this something that will just clear up, get worse, needs a Vet now?? I can not post a picture as I don't have a cell phone/camera, aside from the disposables... What do you think?

Last check before bed. Four pips. Pic so I can remember what eggs were in there if they all hatch overnight.

Chick hatched with yolk unabsorbed! What should I do? I didn't see it till now, don't know how long it's been out it is still wet. the other chicks were picking at it. I put it in a plastic cup by itself in the bator.
