springtime post your new chick pics

Just got our very first batch of chicks (3 aracaunas and 3 buff orpingtons) this Friday! I was so nervous that we'd have problems but after getting the heat lamp adjusted and finally figuring out why the waterer was leaking out every hour (I was using a feeder bottom, duh!)...the girls are doing just great. I'm blogging about our foray into backyard chickens here: http://www.kwentzell.blogspot.com/2012/05/5-things-ive-learned-about-chickens-in.html

I've learned so much from reading the forums and articles here...what a great community and resource. Glad we're finally able to take part!

cheers,
Kristina

Thanks to all the help I got in the forums, my broody black Austrolorp hatched out these five on Mother's Day!
Mama(s) are either BA or Barred Rock or Americauna or Speckled Sussex. Daddy(s) are either White Silkie,
white frizzle, or white cochin. My three roos were rescued from the side of the road this fall. Last night I added
four chicks to this brood... 2 BA's and 2 BR's. She is a great momma!

dk, the ones with the pointy wing feather tips, and a bit of a tail already started would be the best guess for girls.
