I can't imagine that true peas could be problematic except that all legumes need to be heat treated before chickens or humans can eat them.
I plant winter peas for chickens to forage on every autumn.

It is the sweet pea garden flower. When I read the article, I misunderstood the context of "pea." I retracted my statement and apologized for the misinformation.
