Copper looked around at what he imagined was a group of adoring followers. He closed his eyes and puffed out his chest, prepared to give a righteous command. “Let us go, turkeys, to the-” He opened his eyes and paused.
Copper was utterly confused. Weren’t they all there in front of him, waiting for his words?
No, Slate and Kaede had flown away. Copper, slightly unsettled, rushed to catch up to them.
