Spur on pullet? Don't say roo!

All chickens have Spurs. Hens are generally smaller, and Roos are generally bigger and pointing up. If it's a roo, it will be very mean.

These aren't spurs. They are in the wrong place on the foot for that. Second, why on earth would that make a rooster very mean? My roosters all have spurs and not a single one of them is mean.
 
I've noticed quite a bit of change in the 5 days since I made this post. I'll update with some pictures later. It almost appears that his saddle feathers are coming in. And yes, I've accepted that it is most likely a "he". I'm going through my 5 stages of grief : )
