That's good news.

That stuff is miraculous. Sparkle is still doing well and running with the flock. I wish I'd known about that stuff years ago...lost a couple of favorites that I would have loved to try it out on.

well, this is certainly an encouraging thread! I started my pullet on the sjw with hemp oil. Just a pinch in a small amount of the oil. Might get lysine too. My pullet has hung in over 2 weeks in the house but she is starting to eat less. Poor thing is so congested sounding, nothing is working on that.

I might try to give my other pullet some of the mix too, not mareks I don't think, but possible something that can't be cured (respiratory). It's not going to hurt her, she doesn't eat much either and is inside.

If they have something respiratory going on, it's not Mareks, and it might be something very contagious, sounds like it is. Have you posted before about your sick pullets? SJW won't treat that at all. It's for neurological issues.

My silkie has both. My cochin is not well but not mareks. I have posted on my cochin bc she is just I'll and skinny and not eating much

I would concentrate on the illness first. Look at antibiotics for the illness. It's possible that the illness is causing what appear to be neuro issues,
it might be just weakness.

I have no clue what is wrong with the cochin. She was sneezing a while back and I put them all on duramycin, didn't do much good and by the time I realized she was so thin, I brought her in. Gave tylan and she quit sneezing but still doesn't eat much. I just tube fed her and she's very sleepy, I hope I didn't wait too long to do that. She's getting it every 3 hours per Peter Brown, chicken doc.

I'm beyond frustrated with all of the illness I've had already with 8 chickens. One died already from mareks, now my silkie has it and my cochin, I just don't know. She has no discharge from nose, no nothing. Aside from the sneezing which is gone, she seems ok, except for not eating muh and weakened. these are my pets, I only got them for pets and this is disturbing

I'm really hoping the sjw helps the silkie. Is it ok to give it 2x a day?

Yes,you can give hypericum twice a day-but it is better to give the hypericum at night since the body heals itself at night. I guess it matters on how bad the bird is.

I'm for sure giving it at night and maybe in the morning. She is not good. Today her neck was going all weird, then I hoped I hadn't given her too much. It is back to normal now. She eats mealworms just like normal. I ran out tho. Eats some food.
