We are in Kirkwood city limits and we are about to get started on our own blue egg layers. Ameraucana or something else that lays blue eggs. We can't wait to get started and hope we don't make too many neighbors mad when we start. I think we can only have 4 hens and are looking to get two blue layers and two layers?

I just got a couple of auracanas from a friend. They lay a bluish gray egg but they don't lay at the capacity of my Leghorns.

I have brown and white leghorns they both lay white eggs. I prefer the white leghorns they lay larger eggs.

Oh and just so you know. Unless you are just wanting eggs with color. There is no nutritional difference in eggs regardless of color.
