I think it's hatching things that is addicting! I just hatched 40-something coturnix quail - and I want to hatch more ! Madness!

My welsummer hen is hatching 4 of her own eggs, I can't wait to see her with her brood!

I think I'd hatch eggs year round if I could sell the chicks. Just something about bringing those little peeps into the world! It's amazing!

The first 2 dry poults I put in the brooder with my little lav orps that hatched late last week. I think the chicks will be better able to teach them how to eat and drink.

When I put them in the orps all ran to the other side and huddled together and wouldn't have a thing to do with the poults. Finally last night before bed I sneaked a peek and the orps had finally come over and snuggled with the turkeys for a warm nights sleep.

MissPrissy that is so sweet..Great pic.. We to always try to hatch chicks with the poults or have young chicks waiting to receive the poults to help teach them to learn were the goodies are....

Got about 35 Wild T Eggs in the bator..cant wait to see them soon..

I have 42 in this batch, Charlie. I have 21 more I want to slide in this morning. I meant to do it last night but was waiting for those last few morning eggs to fill out the tray. LOL

I came home from work to find two newly hatched Bourbon Reds from eggs I bought from Plain_View_Farm! I am still waiting on 4 more to hatch but the two that are out are so CUTE! They sound so different from the chicks and are so much calmer! I just set 40 guinea eggs on Monday... I think I am hooked!

My guineas just started laying so I have 12 eggs we found to set along with the the next set.
