Star Quilt ?

I have one that my ex-husbands Granny made many, many moons ago. I always loved it, and when we split, he didn't ask for it back.....She did it all by hand, and it needs a little repair work, but I'm no quilter.
Good luck with it though, you'll love it.

much more patience then I! I have a few years before I could tackle something like that... good luck!

I sure hope it turns out right. I will take a pic tomorrow of the progress of today. I actually spent about 4 hours just cutting out the diamonds. This quilt will be the one that goes on our bed. I also want to make matching pillow shams. A valance would be great but we will cross that bridge when we get there

Isn't it a little sad when folks think a quilt it too good or to pretty to use. I thought that for a while myself, but my kids were given quilts with their names on them a little over a year ago - and I didn't want to put them on the kids beds and then I thought about it for a while and put em on. They'll get worn, perhaps stained, but the kids will love them, and with luck take their quilts when they leave to get married or whatever.
