Starting a hatch September 21....hatch along?

I have one baby out of 6 so far. Egg #3 hatched just a few minutes ago. It looks like a girl but she's not dry yet so hard to be sure. She certainly got a good set of lungs on her!

Still only one out. Three more zipping - one very close indeed. Last two nothing at all but its only Day 21 so there may still be hope.

Four little velociraptors out and causing mayhem inside my tiny incubator. 2 eggs left, no sign of life that I can see yet but I'm not giving up hope.

These guys want OUT but I'll let them fluff up a bit first and see if there's any movement from the other two by then. All in all a good Day 21 so far. First one definitely, absolutely, positively could be a girl. the rest are all too bedraggled to tell yet but one looks suspiciously boyish,

I'll know better once they're dry and in the brooder I guess.

Well I guess someone was secretly pippin' and zippin' yesterday! We went out last night and there was a nice little zipped, empty eggshell lying next to our bantam cochin, and when we lifted up some of her feathers to try to peek, we heard cheeping. No fuzzy butt sightings yet though! Five more eggs to go. We'll be out there soon to see what else has happened overnight!

Okay, I just went out there and saw the little peeper. It has black feathers and of course is soooo cute. But no more hatching yet! It's day 21 today. I hope we see more chicks today, or at least some pippin' and zippin'.

more fuzzies! My fluffers are3 days old now and are doing well! My older 3 week old chicks with the broody mama hen are sitting on top of the wire lid to my brooding box.. totally cute

Hi All,
I set the eggs on Sept 26, so today is day 18. Do I start lockdown today or tomorrow? I only did this once before so I am kinda new to hatching.
I know I need to take the turner out, put the eggs in a carton, and bump up the humidity to 60%+
Any advice????

I have a pip! Day 20, and it's about 5:30 in the afternoon, so the baby probably won't hatch fully until tomorrow, but still!

THEY ARE HATCHING THEY ARE HATCHING 3 OUT AND THEY LOOK HEALTHY AND ONE MORE ON ITS WAY OMG OMG OMG 'THIS IS MY FIRST HATCH ITS SO EGGCITING LOVE IT CANT WAYT TO SEE WHAT ELSE POPS OUT STILL GOT A COUPLE OF EGGS AND MAMA HEN IS BEING SO GOOD ABOUT LETTING ME SEE THEM OMG THEY ARE SO CUTE...
