We have joined this valiant effort by putting another 12 .... Er,11 TJ white fertile eggs into the bator (a Turkish spy got number 12 - and made it look like the thermostat fell on it)).
Never enough white Leghorns for the movement. We shall over overcome (well, we shall certainly over easy - you less 11 roos...I mean you can flip ten heads in a row......).
My eggs are due on Oct 11th... can't flippen wait!
I don't have a Ovascope... I'm just using a flashlight and a toilet paper roll.. lol Kickin' it OLD SCHOOL! all of my eggs except 1 are brown eggs.. so we'll see what i see. I won't candle until this coming friday.. that should be enough time.
I just found out that i have a Brinsea distributor in my community!! how friggen awesome is THAT! an octagon 20 (without the egg turning cradle) is $164 Not bad. Might go for it.
I'll use the little mini eco we are borrowing right now... and see what happens.
Ok ladies... if you have any pics.. post em!! Larey.. no need to post a pic.. you have already... I will post mine in a minute!!
I will hatch along with ya!!!! I started my addiction in August and now I can't seem to stop. I'm running staggered hatches now. I have one bator with 20 olive eggers and 11 red star / Dominique cross in it that are on day nine and sixteen. I will be setting 24 Heritage RIR in the 2nd bator in about an hour or as soon as it stabilizes. I recently removed yesterdays hatch and had to sanitize it and get the humidity back down to 35%.
