Starting a hatch September 21....hatch along?

I hope it's not too late to join in. I put 9 eggs in an incubator tonight. This is only my 2nd incubator hatch. .
I love to join a group to learn from the more experienced folks out here.

If it's too late, no problem.
Welcome to the group! The more the merrier. I kinda like it when the set dates are spread out over a few days so that the hatch dates are spread out, too. It makes it more fun when the adorable fuzzy butt pictures keep coming and coming!

I'm on day 7 currently... I might candle them tonight and see what's going on. I have to wait until my room (yes i have the incubator in my bedroom, it's the only room that stays the same temperature all the time) gets darker, as i have a huge window in my room that is very hard to block out light. So tonight after dark I'll candle my eggs.
As I've said before I have 6 brown Eggs and 1 White Egg so i may not get a good candle out of the brown eggs. but we'll see.

LukeandAli.. I understand about Morning sickness. I just found out that I'm due with my 4th (yes 4th!!!! ahh! lol( child in May! So the MS has been kicking my butt! If i can help ease it for you.. let me know.. I have some tricks up my sleeve.

Hey hatchers... do you think we could have pics of your mama hens? and roos? they don't that to be the exact chickens your eggs came from.. just it would be nice to put breed to name.. you know? I'll take a few when I'm out in the barnyard this morning. I have to milk my cows first though.

Thanks. I have a few earlier eggs under my broody hen too. That part is easy, it's the incubator that gets me confused.

I got my eggs from a local breeder so I don't have pics of the hen or roo.

Looks like you will be changing your BYC name

I will take all the help and advice I can get! This is my fourth pregnancy, but, I only have one "take home" LO (DD is almost 7 months old already!), so far. We are hoping praying #2 will join us safely. I m/c at 12 and 13 weeks with my first two pregnancies (second pregnancy was triplets) and I've never had morning sickness this bad during the day (with the triplets, I had it at night, but, as long as I was tired, I could sleep through it). So, unload your tips and tricks on me! When in May are you due? By O day, I'm due May 13. I have an u/s and OB appointment tomorrow and I can't wait!

ETA: Four kids is great! I grew up in a family of four kids (all girls!!!!) and DH grew up in a family of TEN kids!!!! They are one of the closest families I know and I LOVE being a part of it. I think big families are great and teach the kids so much more about sharing, loving, and being content. Congratulations!

You are soo cute.. lol
Ok so do you actually vomit? or are you just queasy most of the day? I'm the latter... i haven't actually hurled my guts yet.. and I can count on 1 hand how many times i did during my last 3 pregnancies. I found that if you feel queasy.. eat some yogurt. it's protein and have probiotics in it ... that seems to help. then there` is your common ginger and or peppermint tea... the saltines. I have my own milk cows so i drink raw milk when i'm queasy too... that helps.
but i don't want to turn this into a preggo post... so PM me.. and we'll chat.
