Yesterday I moved my main chicken fence back 30' to make my main yard 50' deep.

My yard goes about 60' in opposite direction.

5 years ago I built my first coop.

I still use this pen for eating eggs ( usually 10 hens and 1 rooster )
I have 4 other pens 6'x 12' for other breeds.

Our sheep like to watch the kaos.

Before you all get to critical of our construction methods I would point out my wife is a 5' tall city girl never been on a farm before here and I have been in a wheelchair for 15 years. We have done every bit of the construction ourselves so far. But on the new coop the main frame will be professionally installed. We will do the interior ourselves.

Had to laugh........I am 5' 2" 63 YO single woman...........and HOPING my setup will end up as nice as yours. It is, after all, all in the eye of the beholder.

Haven't thought of a signature yet.....LOL

The chickens can be happy in used tires. Most coops are for the pacification of the owner. Check back next month and you will see how I can go off the deep end.

WOW love it, was also thinking how I can change mine to look like yours.
GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I applaud you for your hard work. Many people in your situation would do nothing and expect the government, ( those of us who are able and - willing to work), to take care of them.
