Dear Stormhorse - I feel your pain and will pray for you. The Lord just spoke to me and asked me to give you this verse:
Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things."
So when you feel sad, just think on things that are good - say them out loud if necessary. Start simply with "It's a beautiful day" or "I'm thankful I'm healthy" or "The flowers are beautiful". It's what I do when I hear the sad or angry voices in my head that want to ruin my day. It really works. As the bible says - think on the things that are good.
For as Proverbs 23:7 says "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he."
Here's the last of the sunset as viewed from my porch yesterday. Think on the fact that the same God who created heaven and earth, and this spectacular light show, cares about you and wants you to be happy.
