I too have been wanting to put a coop under my deck. Thanks for the great idea! Our deck has southern exposure and needs a few boards replaced so we never use it anyway. Looks great and I am sure they are gonna love it!

That is exactly what we are doing since our coop was ratted out by "an anonymous tipster". Mr. Inspector guy is coming to take a peak today. I'll let ya know how it goes. LOL

I would put the coop against the lattice, with exterior nest boxes, so you dont have to crawl under there!

OP: Great idea! When we put a verandah on our house next year, there will be a lot of space on the south and east sides to house goats, chickens, and a little greenhouse. WE'll store firewood in the places where we'll need to stoop tho. Can't imagine collecting eggs in something that's only about 4' tall!
