Stella's Social Club

speckled hen I totally agree I would love temps to stay between 50-70, even 40's(and sun) to 60's could be great. To save on the heat bill I set it for 63-65 degrees. That would be shorts weather outdoors BUT , in the house I wear a fleece neck gaiter and ear warmer - if it's yummy from damp weather I even though on a hoodies.

lonnyandrinda both your boys are looking real handsome - are they okay with chickens?

Pretty car, Mary.  Tucker looks like he gave you his approval. Have you bought him a car seat yet? Do they make doggie car seats? :idunno
.
Oh my gosh! Yes, they do make doggie car seats! Lots of them! HERE

I had one of these for YEARS - the dogs loved it. (two mini-doxies). It gets them up high enough to see out the window and sniff at outside air coming through the vents. Cover is washable, but it's a PITA to put back onto the inside foam shape. They boys snuggle in that fuzzy part to nap on long drives. Thank you SO much for the link, 'cause I need to replace mine!

Mary your hairdryer story saced another chick. My dingbat serena found a hoke in the coop and showed it to the chicks. I apparently did not fix it well the first time so sge dropped obe again. I thiught it was dead but popped it in the bator. Its cheeping now hopefully it makes it.

Pie crust cutters. I got the set at Ross.

Those are cool! Maybe when I don't have kids keeping me busy.

We got down to the low 20s last night- BRR!!!! Ice in the waterers even in the heated baby coop! Glad we aren't usually that cold on a daily basis until January, but we still get the occasional night in Nov and Dec!

Tried to move the chicken coops to the new house the other day, only to realize that hubby's hitch ball on his truck was loose when we went to hook up the trailer. Sheesh, if it's not one thing, it's another. And I already had all the chickens caught and caged- so I had to put them all back. I hate doing work for no reason!

Look at how big Merlin is already- I think he's already passed our Aussie mix in both height and weight. He's about 6 months old now. He's growing up super handsome that's for sure!

What cuties!

sunrise light this morning from here on Sonoma Mtn...
That is just gorgeous!

We had a beautiful sun set a couple of days ago. Ag burning filled the air with Rice stubble smoke(Particularly bad to breathe--full of Silica). It was hard to breath outside but if you could stand it, It was quite a colorful sunset.....
