what does one do with an emu egg if you don't set it to hatch? it looks like it could feed an army! (amazing color, too!)

Thanks guys! We worked on the new website most of the day while taking calls from family with birthday wishes. Still have a lot of work to go on the site but I think I am really going to like it. I want to have the store all ready to go this spring. Right now it has just filler pics and prices. We'll refine it as we go.

I am so edited to see what happens with the Isbars in the incubator. I might have a bumper crop. I am especially anxious to see if the eggs from my girls are fertile now.

Lobe the pics Chickens. That looks like a storm coming in. Don't the chickens dig through those barrels? Mine would have a field day. maybe that is where the term comes from.
No storm- we live in fog a LOT here. Overcast and dark days are the norm here in winter. But summer is very dry so there is a balance. I love the overcast days and then when the sun comes out, it is wonderful too.

Yes the barrels have been scraped and my strawberries will have to come back from the roots. I will have to either move the two RIR out of there or put fencing around the barrels in the spring. But the two RIR are best buddies with the Silkies as they grew up together so I don't really want to move them.

Sunrise this morning. Seems in winter we have the best sunsets, but I rarely look east to see the sunrises (usually, I'm not up, lol)

Lovely pictures Speckledhen!

Wow Mary, gorgeous egg. Congrats! It's greener than normal, but so pretty.
