One lone chick? I bet she is chirping up a storm.

posting is even more cruel
Ditto. I've seen it before but still enjoyed it. I envy that green grassWhat a nice video, I'm glad I watched it all.
I'd like to know how many chickens were harmed in the making of that video. There is a quick bit where the beautiful silkie is(obviously) thrown from the coop, to simulate being attacked by other chickens, etc. I don't think she was trained to do that. Maybe it was a stunt double - hmm or a stuffed chicken.
I agree who could watch and not rush to help?. I know on Animal Planet people have asked why they didn't assist when trouble arose. They said they weren't to have contact - in this case it was the Meerkat series. Yet, they had plenty of footage of them weighing and measuring , sometimes feeding the babies so they could record the results and putt tracking collars on some.
The reason I stopped watching - I couldn't stand to see the animals maimed or killed when people were close enough to intervene. It's always about filming a great scene. I really worry about humans in dire straits where instead of helping - people are filming, so they can cash in and sell to news stations , whatever.
Is it any wonder so many want to move far from the maddening crowd?
