My first thought was ok poison doriots in the trap!
Congratulations! I picked up a new water fountain for chicks. It was from a person in Colorado. My now two week old chicks picked up using it quickly. It is not super large but the concept could be scaled up. I will find more information and get back to you with it.
I bought these for the quail but they can't get the water out. They do enjoy pecking at it however. I'm making the feeder too. But I bet one quail will sleep in it!

I was waiting for the raccoons to attack when they ran out of Doritos.

Liking those feeders and waterers. Thanks for sharing Ron.
She asked me how I wanted to mount is and customized it for my tote brooder too. It makes not mess.

DW and I finally found some furniture for the house addition we completed last year.

We found this industrial cart:

And we found this work bench. They didn't have much information on this one. They had a few others that they knew more about, and had more character. I liked this one because it is still functional, and I'm already threatening the wife that it might find its way to the wood shop, and maybe get one of the other ones for the room.

I might move the tool tray "back splash" down to be level with the table.

I saw those too. They said they won't have the feeders or the other waterer until March, I think it was.

I found the information. I have a waterer like the one on the left. I need to look into the feeder too!

Kathy! I am so making those placemats. The example doesn't look sewn around the edges. Maybe just folded under for the picture. I think another trip to the fabric store is in my future! I may only get one done for food photography though!

The wall quilts are cute, but I do NOT applique! I hate it. Can't do it. Tried it a few times, not good at it. I do all my quilting entirely by hand.

Oh good!! I can hardly wait to see yours all done up!
You do not have to really applique to do these. Have you seen the iron on way to do it? Quick and easy.

OR, with little pieces, just sew 2 of them together and turn inside out and tack down.

They do sell the little kits on Amazon, too. HERE

Great idea! I like this!

Michael is working on my new brooder. I ripped everything out of the little yellow house. It is not level so the water spilled everywhere and the savings got soaked, etc. It was disgusting. The new brooder will be built level ignoring the fact that it may look wonky because the house itself slants. I want brooders that are easier to keep clean. It will be one big brooder that can be sectioned off into two or three smaller brooders in case I am brooding different breed or ages. We took the opportunity to insulate while the house was empty so that should help a lot with heat and cold issues. I was shocked one day to find the waterers frozen solid inside the brooder house. Luckily the chicks could get under the Ecoglow. I hope the project is finished today because my one sole survivor of the 22 Isbar eggs I set just hatched! It is either a black or blue but it is still wet so it's hard to tell.
Well, congratulations on the new baby!

I would worry about a chick getting stuck in the feeder. I don't remember who it was, but someone had a chick get stuck in a PVC feeder and it died.

What you would end up with is the little bugger going into the clear plastic part peeping it's heart out. I have a feeder in silkie land Chicks can get inside if they are industerious
