It looks like insecticidal soap is safe for bees. Spray in the evening and it's dry by morning.

Thanks Mike! I had some really dark Marans eggs but those seem to be the ones I always grab for cooking. Plus, I put a few in the incubator for a certain friend of mine who shall remain nameless.

This year I work on the Icelandic flock, then maybe next year start working on a colorful basket.

I've been looking around trying to guage when to add the honey super, and it looks like I need to add it now!

I'll try to get a couple of pictures when I do it this afternoon.

I am trying to come up with different ways to prepare eggs because I have soooooo many.

I made patties with leftover bread and cheese for an appetizer last year. I thought it would be a great base for a poached egg. I was right! The patty has torn stale bread, egg, scallions, parsley, and feta and goat cheeses. It is lightly fried then topped with an egg. It was so good even cold after the photo session.



I bought three of these cool linen dishtowels and I am loving them for photos. I need to hide them from myself lest I over do it!
