I went out to check on the bees this afternoon, and they were working the outermost frames now, so I added the Queen excluder and the Honey Super!

Now they can store honey for ME to take!

We are going to have to fence around the little garden plot. Since we are tearing down the boat barn pens, we have plenty of fencing and posts to use. I think I would like to make some "raised beds," in there, too. Tonight we planted some tomato seeds and peppers in peat pots. Our last "frost day" is suppose to be May 1st. Tomorrow Mike wants to plant some radishes. I guess we could plant the onions and potatoes, too. (I think. I have to look it up). We want to get a couple apple trees and peach trees, too.

I had shrimp last night too! Costco had HUGE shrimp for sale when I was there on Friday. I breaded them with panko and fried them. I was leaning towards garlic scampi, but DH wanted fried. I ate three and thought I would die, LOL

For breakfast this morning, I'm trying a recipe I cut out of the paper. You just use refrigerator crescent rolls for the dough, add a cream cheese mixture middle and some jam, then a drizzle of glaze. Cheese Danish in about fifteen minutes. What could be easier?
Hello Deb! Show more pictures! Glad to see you are home and safe!
I think I will try those quick and easy Danish!

Thanks everyone! There is a lot to learn with bees. After losing them last year, this is so neat to be getting some honey this year. Manzanita and lilacs are in full bloom right now. My orange tree blossoms will be opening probably tomorrow. And we still have the blackberry flowers coming this summer. There will be a lot of food for them and hopefully me too!

Camille works! Potatoes go in now and so do onions, Kathy. In fact, you could already have potatoes in the ground.

Pizza being murdered by chickens! Oh the Humanity!

That must really bother the Gated community neighbors....

Last year we broke up a Rats nest and were able to smash a couple of them. We dropped them over the fence to the layer flock and the next day, we could not even find the bones. The pizza looks a lot better. Great pictures!

Your Pizza looks Yummy Ron. It almost makes me want to try it. My daughter loves to yeast bread dough.
