Having a huge thunderstorm. Tucker is waiting it out, under the desk, in his basket wearing his thunder shirt. What a little freak.

We got a small sprinkle here nothing else. No rumbling, good thing too, my Aggie hates thunder as well. She jumps up and barks, she just was spayed yesterday (and she's nearly 12 years old), so I just wanted her to rest.

I wasn't aware it had even rained until I let her out around midnight and discovered the deck was wet.

Aw, poor little Tucker. Kes was deathly afraid of thunder, too. She was my pointer/lab girl who died in 2012 at almost 15 years old. She would start out at the foot of the bed, then would weasel her way up between us, then I'd feel her cold nose on my back or shoulder as she got her head under my pillow. And the bed would shake like the old Magic Quarter Massage beds in the hotels.

LH just left back to KY with a boatload of youngsters plus two of my Belgian D'Anver hens. Little porcelain pullet Suki is in the rat carrier up front because she would be trampled by the big moose in the kennel in back.








Deacon, my resident goober pet rooster, decided to jump on LH's shoulders as she was squatted down in Isaac's pen videoing him for her daughter, Cheyenne. Isaac decided to rescue his friend from that errant son of his and all LH could do was brace herself. Deacon jumped right over her head when dear old dad ran at him and LH was unscathed.

This is Deacon, my one-spur wonder.

Ladyhawk came on Friday and will be leaving tomorrow morning. She spent the entire time spoiling my chickens, as you can see. And she made these videos of some of them, including Scout, who I am trying to find a home for. He's such a love, that one.
