Stella's Social Club

I think I fancy Red, yes, red straitjacket, red storm shirt, I doubt that make them in my size
Didn't know you have a choice of colors in straitjackets.

I just might have to try that with my TONS of Rhubarb! Now..................the BIG question.................when do I have the time to make it? This weekend is garden planting and chicken processing for the remaining meaties. Maybe I can fit it in 2 weeks from now.

Happy Chooks didn't you know that Super chemical girl (from the Old Folks thread) hand crafts them - she doesn't do solid colors but, very attractive prints with special touches. I should be so lucky , I bet they are great for getting a good nights sleep. No sleep walking, no beating up the pillows or tossing and turning all night. I guess they could be called a thunder shirt for humans.

Mary, be honest. Didn't you open Tucker up to comments when you, yourself called him "that little freak?"

I expect Tucker will be consulting with his attorney in regard to defamation of character. He may end up owning your house, and making you sleep in a dog house.

I'll say no more...

I don't know Kelly. It's rumored that Tucker plans to cut the property into small parcels and have zero lot lines with huge (narrow but VERTICAL) McMansions. He's been thinking about it ever since he suckered ,oops charmed Mary into adopting him. Michael may be in cahoots with him. Just wait for the story to break on National Tv.

Cyn, Scout looks like a very sweet guy. Hope you can rehome him. Really enjoyed looking around your place, looks like spring!

Mary, the jam looks delicious. My Rhubarb is just emerging, had to rescue it from the voracious hens yesterday - they got in there digging for worms.

Here are my 3 little Arkansas Blues, the small noisy one was the last to hatch, and emphatically named herself Athena.

And some of the rest of the hatch - mostly Swedish Flower Hens, but there are 3 Orps (2 Jubilee and 1 Self Blue) and some barnyard green egger mixes from my flock

Congrats on the babies.

I believe I'm up to 3 broodies now. Dusty is on eggs and my olive egger doesn't have any eggs yet, because she keeps switching nests. Last night, my production red was on the nest too. (she's been broody twice before)

I currently have only one sitting broody, my repeat broody D'anver, Sissy. Great name, eh? NOT. She was just called Jenny's sister since they both got a bad case of cocci and Jenny almost died. Then, it went to Jenny's sissy and then just Sissy. Accidental naming, I call it. I have a couple of clucking loons who have no idea what to do besides cluck. One of the D'Anver hens that LH took back with her started clucking on Friday just before she arrived so she's having to deal with one of those types in Miss Guinevere, LOL.

I like the rhubarb jam, Mary! Might have to try that one if we have enough.

There was a good article on eggs on the Bing news page today: Ten Scientific Reasons You Should Be Eating More Eggs Of course, there are always the naysayers.

Ahhhhhh...this just might be the very best jam I have ever made. I am off to make a coffee cake that uses this jam as a filling.
