Stella's Social Club

Speckles couldn't they get DNA or something from the fur that was in Lancelots beak? On the various CSI's they can even get the height, sex, mating habits etc. etc. from one hair.
of the year.

Lancelot has my vote for Rooster Hero of the year. If BYC doesn't have an awards show for this, they should start one. People need to hear good things about roosters.

hoping Ladyhawks husband fills that critter with lead. Hope it wasn't some rabid radioactive creature -

Yes, they could do that, but they want to make sure someone isn't pulling the wool over their eyes. I know, I asked about that. She does have a blood sample bagged and in the fridge, though. Still waiting to hear and it's driving me crazy!! I'm with you! Lancelot is Rooster of the Year, award or not. That is one rooster with 9 lives, I swear, one lean, mean spurring machine! But, sweet to his mama and most non-predatory things.

From what I hear people can buy tazers . You could pop rats with it. - Even if it didn't kill them they would be stunned long enough to finish them off.

You have to realize we are a suburb of that "war zone," called Chicago. Maybe you can't get tazers for the home or personal use. No I don't have one and I hope nobody around does either.

She just called. They were after it when someone drove by and scared it into the woods. LH, her hubby and his blacksmithing apprentice searched the woods and it just vanished. She thinks it may have some sort of den because of how quickly it disappeared. That is so frustrating! But, it came back three days in a row, after being beat up by Lancelot, then cut badly by a garden hoe. The neighbor driving by saw it and said, What in the name of all that's holy was that?! He saw it and got out to help them look for it.

They're going to bait it and try to trap it tonight. She thinks it could be a fisher with mange or some mutation from the size and height and the teeth on it. I didn't think they were that far south (N. Ky), but apparently, some ijit introduced them into the area.

Chocolate - health food for sure! Made from beans, so vegetable. And with dairy too if Milk Chocolate.

I like the way you think.

When I used to hit the vending machine at work now and then...........I always wanted straight cr*p, don't mess up my chocolate with healthy ingredients (fruit, nuts, etc). So obviously if those things are included, it's health food.

Was just on the phone with LH when she yelled for her husband. That darn thing came back! I'm on pins and needles waiting for her to call me back. I hope they kill that sucker!

Me too!

Oh I forgot to share my photo class submission for last week which I just submitted yesterday. I caught a break because their system was messed up for uploading pics. I adapted a recipe from the Tractor Supply Cookbook.

The recipe was for herb scones and it called for buttermilk which I didn't have. So I made my own with milk and lemon juice. I zested the lemon into the scone batter and added a handful of finely grated cheddar cheese.

They were really good. We had them last night with potato soup for dinner. Here is my critique from George.

Mary,
Beautiful shot!
Great texture on top of the scones. The addition of the melted butter gave some nice highlights in the lower right portion of the scones. Beautiful choice of props as well. Excellent work!

Wow, stunning picture and I think I'll drag my cast iron skillet out of the cabinet and go look for the recipe on your blog. YUM!

Ah bummer they didn't get it, I want to know what it is now! I hope they get it in the trap.

I just have lemon pound cake. Still have about 2 dozen lemons in my fridge.
