LOVE that photo, Mary! It is also making me hungry!

I hope LH gets the beast and we get to see a picture of it! Scary! I am too chicken to chase anything. Actually, I run the other way!

A rat would likely give me a heart attack. A mouse scares me. No way would I try to get close to one!

Toni Turkey is back on a nest. I give up. She just wants to sit and hatch all the time. She does not care about taking care of the babies, though they tried to keep up with her. I took the 2 little black chicks and gave them to the two broody hens that were sitting with Ms Toni. They are co-parenting the other chicks and readily accepted these two.

Thanks for the kind critiques of my photo! Now I have to get busy and get this week's assignment done and submitted by Friday. This week we move from using one strobe to two so we'll have to see how that goes.

Dang I was hoping to see some new animal life form right about now. I guess it'll keep us coming back!

Cute pic of the turkeys.........

The kid's kinda cute too.

I am not a huge Nutella fan but that new dark chocolate peanut butter spread from Jif...now that's another story.

Ben and Jerry rock!

Have you tried the new Biscoff cookie butter? They were sampling it at Costco when I was there last Friday. They just put it on a cracker. I ate the cracker and then saw a little blob of it on the napkin they served it on. When I almost impulsively licked the paper napkin, I knew I had to buy it.

OMG! Of course, I LOVE the Biscoff cookies and have to convince myself they don't come in single serving packages.

The person at Costco told me they like to put it on vanilla wafers or ice cream and I did buy some graham crackers. But so far I just eat it by licking it off a big glob on a spoon.

Jif also has little cubicles(?) of their chocolate spread- called Jiff to go - it has 8 and I just sit there and eat them plain. If I get jars I skip the calories from bread or fruit, or crackers and just use a soup spoon and have it straight. Then I promise myself I will never do that again. Uh-huh

Oh I forgot to share my photo class submission for last week which I just submitted yesterday. I caught a break because their system was messed up for uploading pics. I adapted a recipe from the Tractor Supply Cookbook.

The recipe was for herb scones and it called for buttermilk which I didn't have. So I made my own with milk and lemon juice. I zested the lemon into the scone batter and added a handful of finely grated cheddar cheese.

They were really good. We had them last night with potato soup for dinner. Here is my critique from George.

Mary,
Beautiful shot!
Great texture on top of the scones. The addition of the melted butter gave some nice highlights in the lower right portion of the scones. Beautiful choice of props as well. Excellent work!
George
