I know I've forgotten all my memorized pieces, and probably how to read music much at all. It's been many years since I played the sonatas that the teachers always had me doing. Wish someone would buy my piano that's at my dad's house. It can't come here. We keep windows and doors open all summer and the humidity would kill a piano, plus, nowhere to put it in my small house anyway if I wanted to have it transported up here.
That was amazing. How long has she been playing? Please, enjoy my piano student Emika Saito performing the Schubert Impromptu Op 90 No2. She performed last Saturday in a local piano competition, winning first place in the 4-6 grade category. She is 12. When she comes to her lessons, she videotapes all of them and listens back during the week. Shed can her my boyw crow on tape. It's all music here.
No, that is something I've given up entirely. With DH learning violin, there's enough caterwauling around here anyway. Oh, excuse me, he's learning to play fiddle. There are two differences between a violin and a fiddle, we're told.Maybe you should get a small electric one! I see them at garage sales and resale shops frequently. Humidity wouldn't matter and some kinds are collapsible so they can be stored flat.

1) You don't spill beer on a violin.
2) A violin has strings. A fiddle has strangs.
He likes bluegrass and old country waltzes.![]()
My FIL's funeral was yesterday. Imagine a graveside service with a military honor guard. They fold the flag from the casket in a precise somber ceremony and then present the flag to his wife on behalf of the President of the United States. Then Taps is played. (that always gets me)The casket is sealed and begins to be lowered.....Then, Credence Clearwater Revival begins to play Bad Moon Rising. Daddy would have loved it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_Psclfgfhw
