Stella's Social Club

Some flowers for you today, Kathy. Hope they cheer you up. This is my climbing Minnehaha rose, a tiny pom pom sized rose with mild fragrance that grows several feet each year and must be trimmed. The group at the end of the picket fence was from a stick of it I just shoved into the ground a few years ago-in that tangle is a brown thrasher's nest right now, I just found out today.
They are just lovely! I thank you for thinking of me, too. They brighten my day and cheer me!

Mary, I love those pictures! I have never heard of pichuberries.
The bees in the trees are rather eerie!
That animal- is it a woodchuck or a groundhog? - it scares me! I am not so brave around any kind of rodents, for some reason. They creep me out.

Another name is cape gooseberries. I had them and they grew like crazy. They are kin of the tomatoes and tomatilloes. They have a slightly pineapple, tomatoe taste. You only eat them after they fall from the plant very ripe. When green they can give you a poisoning of sorts. You can plant from seed. They grow quickly and end up being almost invasive here. Coming back from fallen seed each yr,

Kathy if I could put up a pict. I would post you a vase of my peonies. The cold this winter was their cup of tea
.
Oh! unfortunately, it seems I had a brainstem stroke last yr. Now I am getting small weird seizure like spells. The Dr. has put me on meds today. I am no worse than before, just found out the cause. Actually, I am doing better. My dels are doing well. Love those chicks with the wide loads. LOL

I am sorry to hear about the brain stem stroke. It must have been mild so hopefully the medicine will help.

I hope the medicine controls the seizures.

Thanks all. I refused to believe I had a stroke for the longest time. I had numbness in my face and burning of the inside of my mouth. It was terrible for about 4 months last yr. One Dr. said it was neuralgia but the specialist all say stroke. Sigh, I am to young for this. When you are diabetic things just happen early. I am well controled and only require one tablet a day so I thought I would not get the complications of Diabetes, NADA, I still am having them. Neuropathy included. I keep busy though with my chickens and garden beds. I am still quite well in many ways.
Thanks for everyones concern but lets get back to our chickens, they are more fun.
