Stella's Social Club

My Peonies are trying to open, I only have a few on my bush so far. Seems to happen every few yrs..I usually get a lot of nice big pink ones. Will see how it goes once they are open all the way.
In the meantime, my rose buses are finally going to town. Here's one of my favorite colors. I have a yellow next to it. One almost open. Just planted these last yr.

That creamed spinach looks yummy..wondering if creaming chard would taste yummy. I think chard and spinach tastes very similar..at least to me. I have Rainbow planted.

Sheriff..that Marans looks like the more mean broody out of those two..really scary looking broodies! Whew! Keep your hands and arms to yourself.!
Gorgeous rose! I love that color. If I had the space for another rose bush, I'd be on the lookout for it.

Hmmmmmm, I happen to have some Chard right now - good idea! I just might try it. My chard is growing, but we bought a veggie share from a local CSA Farm this year and I got some chard. We figured it would be a great way to try veggies we don't normally eat. I found that I love Bok Choy and now we have some Tatsoi to try. I got some purple carrots too - I will admit, they look strange!

You underestimate the power of an Icelandic!

Someone pulled my holey yoga pants down to my knees this morning in the front pasture by the road. Let's just say I had been sleeping in these holey yoga pants and I don't always wear proper undies.

I hope for your sake, nobody was driving by.

Sniff, sniff. My oldest just graduated 8th grade tonight. He was so handsome in his shirt and tie. Now we brave high school. High school itself doesn't scare me, but driving and dating does.

Yes it is very good but if you aren't huge fan of ginger, leave out the grated stuff. Mine is very strongly ginger flavored.

So can I do like a quarter of the ginger instead or how should I do it also I'm glad i asked.

High School! Easier than Middle School! Driving! Definitely a scary time in life for us moms.

Sons with the dating thing is easier than girls are with the dating thing. Less drama. At least for us. Hopefully he will enjoy doing the group dating, kids have so much fun these days doing the group dates.

I just did the big egg swap. I moved the 3 chocolate orp eegs from under Lukka to my BCM who has been sitting on infertile eggs for weeks. The orps should pip today. She can be seen in the first condo in the picture below.

Then I took the 7 Brabanter eggs out of the incubator and put them under Lukka. They hatch next Wednesday. Tonight I will move Lukka and her daughter to the broody condo. The middle two units are unoccupied. I'll probably give Lukka's daughter a couple of the brabanter eggs. If she doesn't take care of them, Lukka will probably take over.
