I love figs and they are so expensive to buy in the stores since they don't transport well. I better love them, three trees and two people,Of course I figure you need to plant for the birds as well. My biggest thrill was to discover they are something the deer haven't bothered even without fencing. I thought I lucked out until a few days ago I found "edible fig trees" listed on a deer "proof" web list. Although I'm sure they'd happily eat the fruit.![]()

It was because of the Broody Dance by @sourland .....I still can't believe a Leg horn went broody was she a hatchery chick or from a breeder cute chicks are they a barnyard mix????????????????????????

Awww, she looks very happy with those babies! My broody has 3 eggs left under her and all 3 have pips. 2 barnevelders and 1 olive egger.
