Ditto. They are beautiful. I don't know why, but the males crest reminds me of a mullet. I love how it sticks up though.

Yikes, Jack is lame again, this time pretty bad. I have been out all morning trying to get some bute in him and not Diana! I finally had to lock Diana out of the corral but I finally got a dose in him, hidden inside a cored out apple. Michael checked the hoof last night and said it appeared fine. Jack is prone to foot issues but usually they clear up pretty fast. It is always so hard to see him suffering though. He has stayed pretty much in the shelter leaning against the wall. If this doesn't improve today I am going to call the vet out. He sometimes gets a foot infection and needs a shot of heavy duty anti-inflammatory until it breaks through the coronary band and drains. We shall see.

Sorry to hear Jack is hurting. I hope his foot heals quickly.

Mary, not sure how Jack would feel about this, but if he has gravel it might help to soak his foot in some warm water and epsom salts a couple times a day
