He is still limping. I rode the Polaris out to the pasture to feed them because he couldn't walk down to the shelter. Michael thinks he walked a little better though. I got a dose of bute in him.

Whole Foods had Meyer lemons for the same price as the regular lemons! I bought a bunch so I am on a lemon kick.

Mary, just in time I need a snack. But I have to settle for pumpkin cheesecake jello snack cups. Not very cheesy or pumpkiny but they got the color right (orange) I'd much rather have your scones. Maybe if I stare at the picture while I'm eating the snack cups, I will think I am eating scones. Yeah, right!

I assume no news is good news re:fire?

yes its still burning some in the containment area but it has not spread since last week. 94% containment pretty much means the king is dead.

I got my first visual of some burned areas Monday when I was in Pollock Pines.
to the North east of Camino and North of Pollock Pines you could see some of it through the trees. This weekend I may go up why 50 some to get a better look

I know but Meyer lemons were in with the pale yellow sickly looking lemons for the same price so I had to go for it!

I bid on a custom chicken watercolor painting on Rare Breed Auction and I am having the picture of Stella done with her hobo bag!



She is also doing this picture of Blind Lucy and her baby Louis. I have always loved this picture. It makes me emotional. The artist is going to accentuate the feet. I am excited to see what she does with it.



I miss Lucy. She was a special chicken.

Take pictures when you go up the highway Jason. I would love to see them. So sad and I am so glad it is all but out. I pray for rain all winter, except there could be flooding and mudslides in the fire area.
