Granddaughter Emily turns 21 next Thursday. I followed a hint I got from Kelly and we are taking her to the Peppermill Casino in Reno for a night in a luxury room and her first time playing the slots. She is so excited! She posted OMG's all over her Facebook page.

This means Tucker is going to boarding for the first time!

He will be staying at Cynthia's Bed and Biscuit Inn, a cage and crate free boarding facility. He has an appointment this afternoon for a "temperament evaluation."

My fear is that we won't even get him through the front door since they have vinyl flooring. He can't step on vinyl flooring.

I am not sure if they will honor his reservation once they realize they have to put in carpeting and buy lobster.

I will be back with a report when we get back. We have another facility to visit next week in case this one doesn't work out. Otherwise I am going to have to drive him to Diva's place!

I ran 6.6 very hard miles with 2 people from my gym today. Holy crap, I felt like a weakling holding them up. It was a prep run for the Switchback Challenge. I didn't think the switchback section was ever going to end. I finished in a pathetic 85 minutes. Gotta try to get under 70 minutes. Now, I'd better get up and vacuum my house before my muscles seize up.

Mary ,Tucker is always welcome here. I only have carpeting in one room tho. Everywhere else is wood floors or tile. Maybe I could get him non-skid booties. You've heard the expression shabby chic'- well this is just shabby but, I am a totally experienced dog lover so that should make up for it.

Love that picture of Stella, the caption was "I am so outta here!" I don't think I remember blind Lucy . Didn't know she had an emu for a son. But, hey, what she does with her life, is her business. Very touching photos. Where will you hang the portraits?

DW left this morning for a few days of vacation, knitting and spinning in Michigan. Of course shortly after she left I received 2 phone calls from people with goat does in season to breed to our bucks today. The one person actually ended up buying a few of my quail. It was a fun, but smelly day.
