Brabanter pullet.

Have they got personalities to go along with their looks?

They just make me happy to look at them!

They are still flighty because they weren't handled when little. The Pavlovskyas race to the top of their run when I go into the yard. The Brabanters are getting a little less freaky. I love their looks and they way they move as one. It is a hoot.

Mary, great photos: your Brabanter cockerel has the cutest face ever & the pullet is a doll also. II thought the only spotted chickens where Apenzellers or some such name

Can't believe the little Pavs grew up to look like that - so solemn- look like a religious order or undertakers. No offense intended, I just mean dark and somber.

Loca, what can you say about that beautiful fairy princess, except Mary must have done a lot of airbrushing. I was sure that was Chica - the MS.America of Emus.

Nice to see Judge and Lukka enjoying their golden years.

You really have some interesting birds.

I believe the appenzellers were created using the Brabanters.

That is hilarious! Maybe monks. They are the funniest little things. Just after saying they run like hell when I get near them tonight they ran to meet me. Turns out their feeder was empty. Smarter than I thought.

Nope that is Loca without airbrushing. She now struts exactly like Chica has done for 2 years. It's the oddest thing. I tired to start wearing my wedding ring since the Reno trip until Loca made a surprise move for the diamond. I took it off.

Isi too!

Three of my new Icelandic girls. The one in the back has a huge crest.

Thank you! I love them too.

Thanks guys! That little Brabanter pullet has the best half moon feathering. The other two are nice but she's the best. I have six little Brabanter fugglies growing out in the coop next door to the bigger ones. Hopefully some are pullets!

This picture cracks me up.
