I watched a humming bird feeding on a bottle brush blossom yesterday.

Other than the drought, California is a nice place in the Fall and Spring.

The dried brown leaves are the gardener's gold. I would take ANY amount of mulch and compost I can get my hands on.

I have a huge Sycamore tree and you are welcome to every leaf it drops - it won't finish till Dec. or Jan.

@The Sheriff paint it to match the top! It would take some trial and error on a test board to get the colors right.

I tried to get an artist to do it for me when I bought this house and she said it would take way too much time. Half the wall is covered in the faux brick! It goes down another 10 feet or more to the right in the picture.
